Last updated: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Referret collects, uses, and shares information when you use the service.
Operator
Referret is operated by .
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, account credentials, referral links and codes, and other content you submit through Referret. We also collect technical and usage information such as cookies, session identifiers, IP address, device or browser information, user agent, and interactions with the service.
How we use information
We use information to operate the service, authenticate users, maintain accounts and sessions, review submissions, understand usage, improve the product, communicate with users, detect abuse, prevent automated misuse, and protect the service. If you choose to receive optional emails, we may also send product updates, tips, offers, and promotions, including offers from partners, based on the preferences you select.
Public profiles and submitted links and codes
Your name, any profile picture you use, and referral links and codes you submit become part of your public presence on Referret and may appear on your profile and elsewhere on the service. If you sign up with Google, we initially use the name and profile picture provided by Google. Your email address is not public. You can change your name or profile picture in Profile Settings. Do not submit a link or code that contains information you do not want made public.
Cookies and analytics
Referret uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, and product measurement. We may use third-party analytics tools to understand traffic, engagement, and product performance. Referret also records when public profiles are viewed and when referral links or codes are selected. We use this information to provide aggregated activity statistics to the member associated with the profile or referral and to improve the service. These activity records do not include a visitor identifier, and members see only aggregated counts. We may use aggregated, non-identifying statistics to understand, improve, and communicate how Referret is used.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. Because there is not yet a universally accepted standard for how to respond to these signals, Referret does not currently respond differently to them.
Sharing and service providers
We may share information with service providers that help us run Referret, including hosting, infrastructure, bot and abuse prevention, authentication, database, communications, and analytics providers. We and these providers may access, review, and process content you submit, including referral links and codes, profile pictures, and comments, to provide and improve Referret, organize content, prevent abuse, and perform content review and safety checks. We may use AI service providers to help operate, improve, and protect Referret. We do not permit content sent to those providers to be used to train their models. We do not share member email addresses with sponsors or offer partners. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Third-party tracking
Referret may use third-party advertising tools to measure and improve our advertising and to help show relevant ads across websites and services based on people’s interactions with Referret. These tools may collect or receive technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser or device information, cookie or advertising identifiers, pages visited, and actions taken on Referret.
Business transfers
If Referret is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of evaluating or completing that transaction, subject to applicable law and the privacy commitments in this Privacy Policy.
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We retain a history of email preference changes so we can document when you opted in or out.
Your choices
You can change optional product and promotional email preferences at any time in Profile Settings. These choices do not affect account, security, verification, or other necessary service messages. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We may request information needed to verify your request, and we may keep certain information where required by law or for legitimate operational or security purposes.
U.S. users and data processing
Referret is intended for users in the United States. Information may be stored and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children and teenagers
Referret is not directed to children under 13, and we do not intend to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to review and address the situation. Users who are at least 13 but under 18 may use Referret only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and agreed to the Terms of Service on their behalf. A parent or legal guardian may contact us regarding the personal information of a user under 18.
